LIU SI 刘思
Graduated from Tsinghua University and Berlin Institute of Technology, studied architecture and stage design. DAAD Artist Scholarship Winner. Formerly a Hong Kong Jinnian icosahedral creation coordinator. Currently living and working in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. She has participated in numerous stage productions as a designer. In recent years, she has also participated in the planning and management of a number of large-scale cultural and art projects, including the 11th Saint Etienne International Design Biennale (St. Etienne, 2019), The 5th and 6th Shenzhen-Hong Kong City\Architecture Biennale (2015, 2017 in Shenzhen), the Smithsonian Folk Culture Festival (Washington, 2014), the building is an art festival (2011, 2013 Hong Kong).

Principal Architect and Co-founder of URBANUS Architecture & Design Inc.
In 1999, LIU Xiaodu co-founded URBANUS with partners MENG Yan and WANG Hui. LIU Xiaodu established the structure of the firm and oversees the operation of the company. Architecture design projects co-led by LIU Xiaodu include Tulou Collective Housing, Hui Hotel, Hongdu Factory Renovation, the OCT Art & Design Gallery, Barcelona Re.Set—Identity Pavilion, OCT-LOFT Renovation, Greater China IFC, SHUM YIP UpperHills LOFT and Wanxia Mind The Sea; Urban design projects include Huaqiangbei 3D street Urban Design and VANKE Liuxiandong Urban Design, etc. Committing to explore the path of the future development of high-density cities, he led the research and design project “Hyper Metropolis” in 2015 to investigate the lifestyle of a super metropolis in the Pearl River Delta 2.0 era. As the curator of the China Pavilion for the London Design Biennale 2016, he further extended and deepened the urban research on high-density through the work “DenCity”.
LIU Xiaodu has received his Bachelor degree of Architecture from Tsinghua University and Master’s degree of Architecture from Miami University. He is often invited to be the jury member for international competitions and to give lectures at many influential academic institutions worldwide. LIU Xiaodu has served as the chairman for the first Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Association and appointed to be one of the chief curators for 2017 Shenzhen-Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\ Architecture (Shenzhen). He held the posts of visiting professor and critic at the School of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong, Hunan University, and Shenzhen University. He taught a summer studio at IUAV in 2016 and open studio at Tsinghua University in 2017 and 2019.

Dr. Gregor Jansen, Director of the KUNSTHALLE DÜSSELDORF
Gregor Jansen wurde im November 2009 durch den Aufsichtsrat und die Gesellschafterversammlung der Kunsthalle gGmbH zum Künstlerischen Leiter der Kunsthalle Düsseldorf berufen und hat seine Tätigkeit im Januar 2010 aufgenommen. Er studierte Kunstgeschichte, Baugeschichte und Philosophie an der RWTH Aachen und promovierte 1998 zum Thema „Eugen Schönebeck. Eine deutsche Legende“. Seit 1991 arbeitete er als Kurator, Kunstkritiker, Autor und unterrichtete in den Fachbereichen Bildwissenschaft und Medientheorie an mehreren Hochschulen in Deutschland und den Niederlanden. Von 2005 bis Ende 2009 leitete Gregor Jansen das ZKM | Museum für Neue Kunst Karlsruhe, wo er unter anderem Ausstellungen wie „Lichtkunst aus Kunstlicht“(mit Peter Weibel), „totalstadt. beijing case“ und „Vertrautes Terrain. Aktuelle Kunst in & über Deutschland” (mit Thomas Thiel) kuratierte.
In November 2009, the supervisory board and general meeting of the Kunsthalle gGmbH appointed Gregor Jansen director of the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf. He assumed his duties in January 2010. He studied art history, building history, philosophy, sociology, and political science at the RWTH Aachen and completed his doctorate in 1998 on the subject “Eugen Schönebeck. A German Legend.” He subsequently worked as curator, art critic, and free-lance author, and lectured in image science and media theory at a number of universities in Germany and the Netherlands. From 2005 to the end of 2009, Gregor Janson headed the ZKM | Museum of Contemporary Art in Karlsruhe, where the exhibitions he curated included “Light Art from Artificial Light” (with Peter Weibel), “totalstadt.beijing case. Cultural Aspects of the High-Speed Urbanization in China,” “Michael Kunze,” and “Vertrautes Terrain. Contemporary Art in & on Germany” (with Thomas Thiel).

Adrian Notz (* 1977 in Flurlingen) ist ein Schweizer Direktor und künstlerischer Leiter des Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich.
Adrian Notz wuchs in Flurlingen auf und besuchte dort die Primar- und Sekundarschule, in Winterthur das Gymnasium. Dann studierte er während zweier Jahre in Bremen Freie Kunst. In Zürich studierte er «Theorie der Kunst und Gestaltung». Als Assistent beim Cabaret Voltaire begann Notz 2004, 2012 übernahm er die Co-Direktion zusammen mit Philipp Meier, gegenwärtig (Stand 2015) ist er alleiniger Leiter.

The Ghetto Biennale is an invitation by the Haitian artist group Atis Rezistans to visiting Western and non-Western artists to come to Haiti and to produce work on site.
